PROJENOR|heritage
Our approach to the conservation of the built heritage and existing structures is multidisciplinary and systematic.
1
HISTORICAL SURVEY
Survey of the existent oral and/or written records, which includes existing drawings, construction details, description of materials’ properties, regulations at time of construction, record of architectural alterations, repairs, and retrofit.
2
INSPECTION AND DIAGNOSIS
In situ validation of the information collected previously and performance of geometric surveys, visual inspection, damage surveys (defects, cracks, etc), semi-destructive or non-destructive tests (thermography camera, moisture meter, scanner for nonvisible elements, resistograph, etc).
3
SAFETY ANALYSIS
Estimation of mechanical properties of existing materials, definition of performance objectives and demands for design, performance of linear or nonlinear numerical analyses, structural assessment, and verification of safety according to existing standards and literature.
4
INTERVENTION PROPOSAL
Description and design of the interventions necessary to comply with the performance objectives, defined by the client. Our proposals will always respect the principles of reversibility and minimum intervention.
5
DRAWINGS AND TECHNICAL INFO PREPARATION
Preparation of drawings, specifications, and construction details needed for implementation, as well as inspection and diagnosis reports, assessment reports, etc.
6
ASSISTANCE AND MONITORING
Technical support for carrying out the proposed interventions. Monitoring implies controlling the efficiency of the interventions carried out, from short to long term.
